The blades of the classic line are forged from a single piece of Wusthof steel hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 58, which are then sharpened using a precision laser to create knives that are extremely sharp and stay sharp for longer. The knives are made with a full bolster and include a finger guard on the larger knives. The classic black handle is made to last with stainless steel rivets. The 8-inch chef’s knife originated in 1886 and has been an icon in the industry, maturing with quality and style. The gourmet line is still made in Solingen and provides a great value with a precision laser cut and sharpened blade, hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 56.
