Szechuan Peppercorns

Szechuan (Sichuan) pepper has an initially floral, warm, citrus-like aroma that is followed by heat and a tongue numbing sensation. It is native to China, where it is used both medicinally and in the cuisine of the Szechuan province. It pairs well with ginger, anise and citrus.
