Basic Knife Skills for the Home Cook
Want to spend less time prepping and more time enjoying your meals? This hands-on class provides tips and techniques so you’ll work safely and more efficiently in the kitchen. You'll learn knife selection tips, proper grip and cutting techniques and edge care to keep your blades in tip top shape. Whether you're new to cooking or looking to sharpen your skills, you'll leave with practical techniques you can use every time you cook. Let’s get slicing & dicing!
During the event Arome will provide each guest with an apron, cutting board, hand towel, assorted vegetables and a Wusthof knife. The instructor will start with a demonstration and then work with students as they practice different cuts and vegetables. Light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided.
Each participant will receive a 15% discount on any Wusthof knife or accessory purchase during the event.
Instructor Bio
Nicole Lyons has over 20 years of experience in the kitchen industry and has worked with multiple cutlery brands. She is a practical home cook who enjoys entertaining, cooking with family and has a real passion for great blades.
