White Peppercorn

The white peppercorn is simply the black peppercorn after the outer hull of the berry is removed. White pepper has a herbaceous and earthy flavor with a mild, pleasant heat. It is often used when a white sauce is desired, such as in white gravy. Freshly grinding pepper at home for each use is the best way to enjoy it.
