Oregon wine, French food, yes please!

November 20th, 5:30-7:30 pm

We're taking a note from Julia Child on this one and making her famous Coq Au Vin recipe to celebrate Nouveau Day! Nouveau Day is a French tradition that involves celebrating the first wine of the year's harvest on the third Thursday of November. This young, light-bodied red wine is made with Gamay grapes using a special fermentation process called carbonic maceration and is known for its fruity, easy-to-drink profile. Division Wine Co. is an Oregon winemaker that specializes in making Gamay shine. This little berry originally hailed from Beaujolais, but is now grown in Oregon as well.

This is a cooking demo from 5:30-6:30 followed by dinner with seating at a large community table in the store. Your first glass of wine is included in the price of the dinner and you'll leave with a recipe and the confidence to make this dish at home along with the contentment that comes with a good meal in good company.
