Nigella Seed

Nigella seeds come from a pretty plant with feathery foliage and blue blooms that is native to the Mediterranean. The plant produces a black, drop-shaped seed with herbaceous, oregano notes and a warm, toasted onion flavor. They can be used to replace sesame seeds and are great sprinkled whole on salads, in tuna salad, on naan bread and as a component to Korma, the Indian braised meat and vegetable dish
