July 8th, 5:30-7:00 pm
Arome in downtown Redmond
To celebrate our nation's 250th birthday we are offering a study of the fortified wine that made America. Part wine, part history lesson and as always with snacks! Politics, preservation and taste all led to the popularity of Madeira among our founding father's and our nation's first cities. We will be tasting from the Rare Wine Co. Historic Series and discussing the historic significance of each to our nation. This series takes us through a range of flavor profiles and sweetness levels starting with the dry Charleston Sercial and ending with sweet New York Malmsey, with each tasting presented with complimentary light snacks.
