Chipotle Chili Powder

A smoky and spicy chili powder made by finely grinding jalapeño peppers that were slowly smoked over a natural wood fire. Chipotle powder is popular in dishes from Mexico and the southwestern United States. This chili powder packs a punch, so it's generally used in smaller quantities in recipes than milder chili powders, such as the California or New Mexico varieties.
